Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Valley Christian). They blew past the Bellarmine College Prep Bells 64-0 on Friday. With that victory, the Warriors brought their scoring average up to 30.5 points per game.

Ekiah Mclemore had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 192 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 carries. Those 192 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Troy Calupad was another key rusher, rushing for 56 yards and a pair of scores on only seven carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Valley Christian was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 394 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Valley Christian didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Riley Mcelvane and Munachi Elias. Valley Christian received some extra help from Cameron Saunders, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

The win got Valley Christian back to even at 3-3. As for Bellarmine College Prep, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Valley Christian and Bellarmine College Prep could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. The Warriors (ranked 132nd) will meet Archbishop Riordan (ranked 17th) at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Bellarmine College Prep will take on St. Ignatius College Preparatory at 7:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank disadvantage (318 vs. 128).
