Baseball Game Preview: Dillon Wildcats vs. Georgetown Bulldogs

Dillon is 0-8 against Georgetown since March of 2018 but things could change on Friday. The Dillon Wildcats will host the Georgetown Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m.

Dillon easily dispatched Darlington on Friday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. Dillon fell just short of Georgetown by a score of 9-7 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Wildcats have suffered against the Bulldogs since March 27, 2018.

For Georgetown's part, Mike Johnson, III was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Bo Moody, who scored two runs while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

The loss snapped Georgetown's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-5 record. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.7 runs over those games. As for Dillon, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.
