Baseball Recap: Orange County Comes Up Short

Orange County lost to Goochland back in April and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Fighting Hornets fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 6-5. The Fighting Hornets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Orange County's loss dropped their record down to 13-9-1. As for Goochland, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-3.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Orange County will take on rival Monticello at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Goochland is set to face off against their familiar foe Charlottesville at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Bulldogs 3.8, the Black Knights 3.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.
