Volleyball Recap: Combs Comes Up Short

Combs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Shadow Mountain Matadors.

Harper Hernandez paced Combs' offense, picking up four kills. Hernandez got some help from Victoria Miller and her 12 assists. Chloe Gonzales controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Combs' loss dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Shadow Mountain, the win got them back to even at 7-7.

Combs has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Tucson High Magnet School on the 27th. As for Shadow Mountain, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Village on the 27th.
