Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Quentin Walker and Xander Foreman Lead Garden to Victory

Garden hadn't done well against Churchill recently (they were 1-6 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Griffins secured a 61-57 W over the Hawks. The win was familiar territory for the Griffins, who have now won three games in a row.

Garden was led to victory by Xander Foreman and Quentin Walker. Foreman shot 86% from beyond the arc on his way to 32 points in addition to six rebounds and three blocks, while Walker dropped a double-double with 18 points and ten boards. Walker's big performance that afternoon made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points.

Garden's victory bumped their record up to 5-3.

Garden will take on Bay Ridge Prep in a holiday battle at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. Churchill has already played their next contest (against Birch Wathen Lenox), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
