Basketball Game Preview: Travis Rebels vs. Marble Falls Mustangs

The Travis Rebels will take on the Marble Falls Mustangs in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Travis easily dispatched Smithville last Monday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. Travis fell just short of Eastside Early College by a score of 53-50 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Rebels have suffered against the Panthers since December 5, 2017.

Meanwhile, after only 23 points in their last game, Marble Falls made sure to put some points up on the board against Sweeny on Saturday. Marble Falls strolled past Sweeny with points to spare, taking the game 56-40. Given the Mustangs' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 609th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 1228th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Travis' defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Marble Falls, their win bumped their record up to 8-6.
