Marengo waltzed into their game on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Lakes Eagles 8-2. The Indians might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 19 matches by six runs or more this season.

Marengo pushed their record up to 25-9 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Lakes, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-11.

Marengo does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lakes, they will square off against Grant Community at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on a six-game losing streak.
