New Covenant is a perfect 4-0 against Miller School of Albemarle since October of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Gryphons will host the Mavericks at 4:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (New Covenant has four straight victories, Miller School of Albemarle has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

New Covenant's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by an 8-0 margin over Carlisle. Considering New Covenant have won six matches by more than four goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Their offense was hitting Carlisle from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Evan Bosak led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, Miller School of Albemarle fell victim to Eastern Mennonite and their airtight defense on Friday. They lost 4-0 to the Flames. One reason for the loss might be Miller School of Albemarle's aggressive play style: three Miller School of Albemarle players were handed yellow cards.

New Covenant's win bumped their record up to 11-1-1. As for Miller School of Albemarle, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-9.

Everything went New Covenant's way against Miller School of Albemarle in their previous meeting back in September of 2021, as New Covenant made off with a 5-1 victory. Will the Gryphons repeat their success, or do the Mavericks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
