Even though the Powhatan Indians scored an imposing 56 points on Friday, the Chancellor Chargers still came out on top. Chancellor walked away with a 66-56 win over Powhatan.
Larell Edwards was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 24 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Charles Brown, who scored 11 points along with six assists.
Chancellor has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season. As for Powhatan, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-14.
Chancellor will head out on the road to challenge Courtland at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Chancellor knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past six matchups -- so hopefully Courtland likes a good challenge. Powhatan does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
