Volleyball Game Preview: Desert Edge Scorpions vs. Washington Rams

The Desert Edge Scorpions will venture away from home to challenge the Washington Rams at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

Washington will be up against a hot Desert Edge team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. The Scorpions put the hurt on Verrado with a sharp 3-0 win on Thursday.

Desert Edge didn't let Verrado take a single set, but it sure wasn't easy: every set was decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-22, 28-26.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Washington, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They blew past Youngker 3-0 on Thursday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Rams as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Washington never let Youngker on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 26-24, 25-18.

Washington's win bumped their record up to 6-12. As for Desert Edge, they pushed their record up to 11-7 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home.

Everything went Desert Edge's way against Washington in their previous meeting back in March, as Desert Edge made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Scorpions since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
