Volleyball Recap: Clovis Comes Up Short in High-Profile Contest with Buchanan

Clovis faced Buchanan in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Cougars fell just short of the Bears by a score of 2-1. The game marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Clovis fell to 6-1. As for Buchanan, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clovis will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on San Joaquin Memorial at 6:00 p.m. on September 9. As for Buchanan, they will square off against Liberty at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
