Baseball Game Preview: Covington Buccaneers vs. Piqua Indians

Covington hasn't had much luck against Piqua recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Buccaneers will face off against the Indians at 7:00 p.m. The last three games Covington has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Covington is headed into the matchup having just suffered their closest defeat since April 21st on Thursday. They fell just short of Northwestern by a score of 4-2.

Meanwhile, Piqua fell victim to Chaminade Julienne Catholic and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. Having soared to a lofty 19 runs in the game before, the Indians' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Covington's loss dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Piqua, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-11.
