Pipestem Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They lost 53-32 to the Lewisburg Baptist Academy Lions. One positive for the Panthers, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Pipestem Christian Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Michaela Bean, who went 5 of 6 on her way to 11 points. Moriah Mattox was another key player, putting up eight points.

Pipestem Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Lewisburg Baptist Academy, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pipestem Christian Academy will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Victory Baptist Academy at 6:00 p.m. on February 11th. As for Lewisburg Baptist Academy, they are headed away from home for the first time to face off against Elk Valley Christian at 6:30 p.m. on January 31st.
