Laurens Academy extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Caleb Hardy. The Crusaders took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 52-21 win over the Christian Academy Saints for which the team can thank Hardy, who rushed for 219 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries, and also picked up 53 receiving yards and a pair of TDs. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 101 rushing yards per game.

Another player making a difference was Riley Whittaker, who gained 115 total yards and a touchdown. He didn't just play on offense: he also picked up a sack and made six total tackles.

Laurens Academy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Nathan Bell and Hardy. What's more, he's the contest marked his third straight with at least 135.

Laurens Academy's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.

Laurens Academy and Christian Academy will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Crusaders see the field they'll take on Richard Winn Academy at 7:30 p.m. on the 24th. As for Christian Academy, their break will end when they face Carolina W at 7:00 p.m. on the 24th.
