Softball Recap: Christiansburg Takes a Loss

Christiansburg managed to slip by Cave Spring the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Blue Demons lost 11-1 to the Knights on Friday. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Blue Demons couldn't push the score so high this time.

Tyleigh Dillard made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and one stolen base. That stolen base marked the first that she has snagged this season.

Christiansburg's loss dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Cave Spring, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 11-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Christiansburg will take on Salem at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cave Spring, they will square off against Lord Botetourt at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
