Eastern Connecticut - Large recap November 13, 2013

Adding to the longest winning streak in Eastern Connecticut - Large this week, Norwich Free Academy beat Killingly 56-12. The win marks fifth in a row for the the Wildcats.

Norwich Free Academy took down the Redmen 56-12 last week, the largest margin of any game. Marcus Outlow ran for 260 yards in the win.

Jose Garcia* made the biggest impact on defense this week as New London bested Middletown. He pulled down 1 interception.

Outlow was a force in the backfield as Jemal Davis' team beat Killingly.

Outlow was a passing and rushing force as the Wildcats topped Chad Neal's team.

Outlow was the most successful running back in the league this week. In 18 carries, he ran for 260 yards as Norwich Free Academy defeated the Blue Dragons. Calvin Green also contributed to the rushing game with 42 yards on the ground.

New London's Danny Maranda and Garcia* led the league in both passing and receiving yards. Maranda has thrown for 1,338 yards this season, while Garcia* has 32 catches for 511 yards. The Wildcats' Outlow leads the league in rushing yards with 983.

East Lyme's Eric Stirten is a mere 82 yards away from breaking the 1,000-rushing-yards mark for the season. In 141 carries Stirten has put up 918 yards this year.

Duane Maranda's team and Middletown played the closest game in Eastern Connecticut - Large this week, with Duane Maranda's team eventually emerging with a 23-21 victory. Maranda threw for 168 yards and 2 touchdowns during the win.
