Softball Recap: West Mifflin Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask West Mifflin). Everything went their way against Oakland Catholic on Wednesday as they made off with a 13-4 victory. With that win, the Titans brought their scoring average up to 6.4 runs per game.

The team relied heavily on KALEIGH TATTERS, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of TAYLOR KRIVANEK, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.

TATTERS wasn't the only one making solid contact: West Mifflin kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April of 2024.

The victory was the fourth in a row for West Mifflin, bringing their record up to 6-3. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Oakland Catholic, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.
