Baseball Recap: Trinity Christian Snags Fifth Win in Last Six Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Arkansas Christian Academy, Trinity Christian was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They walked away with a 19-14 victory over the Southwest Christian Academy Lions. This was a revenge game for the Warriors: when they faced off against the Lions back in March, they had to take a 9-6 loss.

Aaron Wall was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Wall was even better at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, three doubles, and four RBI. Those four runs gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Brennan Allen was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with four runs, four RBI, and two doubles. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Tristan Gerrald was another key player, scoring three runs while going 2-for-5.

Trinity Christian is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.3 runs over those games. As for Southwest Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-5.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Trinity Christian will take on rival Abundant Life at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Southwest Christian Academy is set to challenge their familiar foe Arkansas Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
