Soccer Game Preview: Franklinton vs. East Wake + How To Watch

The Franklinton Red Rams are taking a road trip to challenge the East Wake Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Franklinton is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Heritage just ended the team's four-match winning streak on Monday. They fell just short of the Huskies by a score of 1-0. The contest was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Franklinton couldn't quite close it out.

Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for East Wake's offense. They came up short against Wake Forest on Monday, falling 3-0. While losing is never fun, East Wake can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 406th, while Wake Forest are ranked 137th).

Franklinton's loss dropped their record down to 12-6. As for East Wake, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-15-1.

Franklinton took their win against East Wake in their previous matchup two weeks ago by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Red Rams since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
