Baseball Recap: Garden City Takes a Loss

Garden City fell victim to Hays and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 13-0 to the Indians. The Buffaloes haven't had much luck with the Indians recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Garden City's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Hays, they pushed their record up to 11-7 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home.

When Garden City and Hays next hit the field, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. The Buffaloes will take on Great Bend and their four-game winning streak at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Hays will try to stop Thomas More Prep-Marian's four-game winning streak when they meet on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Indians 3.8, the Monarchs 3.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.
