Soccer Game Preview: East Rutherford vs. Burns

The East Rutherford Cavaliers will venture away from home to square off against the Burns Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. East Rutherford will be strutting in after a win while Burns will be coming in after a loss.

East Rutherford's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They blew past Chase 3-0.

Meanwhile, after soaring to seven goals the game before, Burns was a bit more limited in their game on Wednesday. They came up short against Freedom, falling 3-0.

East Rutherford's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-7. As for Burns, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6-2 record this season.

East Rutherford beat Burns 2-0 when the teams last played on March 7th. The rematch might be a little tougher for East Rutherford since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
