Preview: Pascack Hills Broncos vs. Cliffside Park Raiders
Pascack Hills is 7-0 against Cliffside Park since February of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Pascack Hills Broncos will head out on the road to take on the Cliffside Park Raiders at 4:15 p.m. Pascack Hills will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
Last Thursday, Pascack Hills beat Westwood 50-40.
Meanwhile, Cliffside Park pushed their score all the way to 57 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. The contest between them and Saddle River Day wasn't particularly close, with Cliffside Park falling 73-57. Cliffside Park has struggled against Saddle River Day recently, as their match on Saturday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Despite their defeat, Cliffside Park saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Thomas Calabrese, who scored 23 points, was perhaps the best of all. Ken Hunter was another key contributor, almost dropping a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds.
Pascack Hills is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season. As for Cliffside Park, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-11.
Everything came up roses for Pascack Hills against Cliffside Park in their previous meeting back in February of 2020 as the team secured a 77-44 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Pascack Hills since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
