Recap: San Jacinto Valley Academy Wolves vs. California Military Institute Rough Riders

The San Jacinto Valley Academy Wolves came into Tuesday's matchup having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They strolled past California Military Institute with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 71-52. San Jacinto Valley Academy pushed the score to 62-37 by the end of the third, a deficit the Rough Riders cut but never quite recovered from.

San Jacinto Valley Academy found their leader in underclassman Robert Edwards, who scored 22 points along with seven rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Edwards has scored all season. Another player making a difference was James Henderson, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 14 rebounds.

San Jacinto Valley Academy's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-14. As for California Military Institute, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.

San Jacinto Valley Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. California Military Institute will head out on the road to take on the Conquerors at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Desert Christian Academy will be looking to keep their seven-game home win streak alive.
