Volleyball Game Preview: Concord Bears vs. Alhambra Bulldogs

Concord is 1-7 against Alhambra since May of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Concord Bears will be playing in front of their home fans against the Alhambra Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m.

Concord is headed into Thursday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game on Tuesday. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of Benicia.

Meanwhile, Alhambra entered their tilt with Miramonte on Thursday with three consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with four. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Matadors.

Alhambra had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 26-28, 25-21, 29-27, 25-18.

Concord's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Alhambra, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
