Baseball Recap: Prairie View Academy Extends Winning Streak to Three

Prairie View Academy had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the River Oaks Mustangs with a sharp 15-5 win. That's more bragging rights for the Spartans, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Colttan Yeldell made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Yeldell was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Abram Anthony, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Cole Murphy, who scored three runs while going 1-for-1.

Prairie View Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as River Oaks only posted a batting average of .071.

Prairie View Academy's record is now 3-1. As for River Oaks, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-4.
