South River has gone a perfect 7-0 against Northeast recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The South River Seahawks will face off against the Northeast Eagles at 6:00 p.m. South River knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight contests -- so hopefully Northeast likes a good challenge.

Last Friday, South River blew past Southern, posting a 72-15 victory. The Seahawks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matches by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Northeast hadn't done well against Chesapeake recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Northeast walked away with a 49-41 win over Chesapeake. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

South River better focus on containing Nadia Sogbo and Brynn Jones as the pair were huge in Northeast's win. Sogbo went 9-for-14 on her way to 22 points and six boards, while Jones posted seven points along with 13 rebounds and five assists. Jones is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 27 games she's played dating back to last season.

Northeast smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in three consecutive games.

South River pushed their record up to 14-6 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.4 points over those games. As for Northeast, their record now sits at 8-11.

Everything came up roses for South River against Northeast in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, as the team secured a 75-14 win. In that contest, South River amassed a halftime lead of 44-8, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Tuesday.
