Valley View had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They put the hurt on the Brookland Bearcats with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Blazers were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Bearcats, so the Blazers were just returning the favor.

Valley View walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the second set). The final score came out to 25-20, 25-10, 25-17.

This is the second loss in a row for Brookland and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Valley View is taking a road trip to take on Batesville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The contest will give the Blazers their first taste of in-conference action this season. After both having extra time off, Brookland and Conway will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
