Baseball Recap: Boscobel Comes Up Short

Mineral Point hit Boscobel with a five-run second inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Bulldogs took a 10-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pointers. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Pointers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Cameron Loos was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two doubles, one stolen base, and one run. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Boscobel's defeat dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Mineral Point, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-9 record this season.

Boscobel does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mineral Point, they will take on River Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
