Softball Game Preview: Point Arena Pirates vs. Tomales Braves

The Point Arena Pirates will challenge the Tomales Braves at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Point Arena has given up an average of 14.3 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Point Arena and Calistoga, and Calistoga kept the tradition alive. The Pirates came up short against the Wildcats two weeks ago, falling 15-6.

Khailaya Kirby made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 1-for-1.

Meanwhile, Tomales entered their tilt with Credo on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Gryphon 16-2. Considering the Braves have won four games by more than 13 runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Tomales' win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Point Arena, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.
