Volleyball Recap: Lamar Comes Up Short

Lamar was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the C.A. Johnson Hornets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hornets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.

The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-23, 25-14.

Lamar's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for C.A. Johnson, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 9-5.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Lamar will challenge rival Lee Central at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, C.A. Johnson is set to face off against their familiar foe Governor's School for Science & Math at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
