Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Cathedral City walked away with it. They put the hurt on the Lennox Academy Panthers with a sharp 12-1 win on Saturday. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won 12 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Cathedral City has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-14 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.1 runs over those games. As for Lennox Academy, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 17-9.

As of now, neither Cathedral City nor the Panthers have any future games scheduled.
