Softball Game Preview: Christ's Church Academy Eagles vs. Bolles Bulldogs

Christ's Church Academy hasn't had much luck against Bolles recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. Christ's Church Academy will take on Bolles at 6:30 p.m. Christ's Church Academy has given up an average of 8.3 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On March 7th, Christ's Church Academy didn't have quite enough to beat St. Johns Country Day and fell 12-11.

Isla Kruayai made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Kayla Bernard also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Kruayai wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Christ's Church Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April of 2024.

Meanwhile, Bolles was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 10-0 to Episcopal School of Jacksonville.

Bolles saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Teryn Freeman, who went 1-for-2 with one triple.

Christ's Church Academy now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Bolles, their loss dropped their record down to 0-8.

Bolles' pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Christ's Church Academy has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .490. It's a different story for Bolles, though, as they've only averaged .326. Will they be able to contain Christ's Church Academy's hitters?

Christ's Church Academy might still be hurting after the 14-4 defeat they got from Bolles in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can Christ's Church Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
