Soccer Recap: Hough Takes a Loss

Despite a strong season so far, Hough has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the South Mecklenburg Sabres. One thing that didn't help Hough's chances was the red card they were dealt courtesy of Levi Sloan.

Piercon Selland and Eric Brennan scored both of Hough's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 16 goals.

Hough's defeat dropped their record down to 13-6-3. As for South Mecklenburg, they pushed their record up to 13-4-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Hough will square off against rival Myers Park at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, South Mecklenburg is set to challenge their familiar foe Garinger at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
