Soccer Recap: Progreso Comes Up Short

Progreso was the 3-1 winner over IDEA Quest College Prep when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Red Ants fell just short of the Trailblazers by a score of 1-0 on Friday. That's two games in a row now that Progreso have lost by just one goal.

Progreso dropped their record down to 2-5 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for IDEA Quest College Prep, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1.

Coming up, Progreso will venture away from home to challenge Lyford at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. IDEA Quest College Prep will be paying especially close attention to the Red Ants' matchup: after the Red Ants face off against Raymondville, they'll take on IDEA Quest College Prep again at 7:30 p.m. on February 17.
