Basketball Recap: St. Edward's Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak on the Road

St. Edward lost against Timothy Christian back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The St. Edward Green Wave took a 62-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Timothy Christian Trojans. The match marked the Green Wave's lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Timothy Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Marc Gamble, who almost dropped a double-double on 19 points and nine boards. Dylan Drye was another key player, putting up seven points along with eight boards and seven steals.

St. Edward's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 5-4. As for Timothy Christian, the win got them back to even at 4-4.

St. Edward will take on Aurora Christian in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on December 20th. As for Timothy Christian, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 59-45 defeat against IC Catholic Prep on the 14th.
