Basketball Recap: Dylan Morrison Key Part of Team Effort in Knights Win

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Ardrey Kell ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They snuck past the Cuthbertson Cavaliers with a 60-56 victory. The win continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Cavaliers: they've now won five in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Ardrey Kell to victory, but perhaps none more so than Dylan Morrison, who shot 63% from the field to rack up 18 points. Those 18 points gave Morrison a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Braden Suggs, who went 7-for-16 on his way to 17 points.

Cuthbertson's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ethan Nelson, who shot 63% from the field en route to 10 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Braylen Cheek, who went 6-for-9 to rack up 13 points and six rebounds.

The victory got Ardrey Kell back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Ardrey Kell will face off against Marvin Ridge at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Cuthbertson, they will challenge Carolina International at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
