Soccer Recap: Kings Mountain Comes Up Short

Kings Mountain managed to keep up with Shelby until halftime on Monday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Mountaineers came up short against the Golden Lions, falling 3-0. The defeat continues a trend for Kings Mountain in their meetings with Shelby: they've now lost five in a row.

Kings Mountain now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Shelby, the victory got them back to even at 2-2-1.

Coming up, Kings Mountain will take on Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy at 6:00 p.m. on September 3. As for Shelby, they will face off against Highland Tech at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. This will be Shelby's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
