Althoff Catholic hadn't done well against O'Fallon recently (they were 1-6 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Crusaders won by a set and slipped past the Panthers 2-1. The win was nothing new for the Crusaders as they're now sitting on five straight.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Althoff Catholic who won the one that mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 21-25, 27-25.

Michael Peterson paced Althoff Catholic's offense, picking up 12 kills. Peterson got some help from Rhett Neville and his 32 assists.

When it comes to explaining why O'Fallon lost, don't look at Niyam Ketan Patel. Despite the final result, he had 11 digs and two assists.
