Vicksburg hadn't done well against Gull Lake recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way  on Tuesday. The Bulldogs skirted past the Blue Devils  3-2. The game was the first time the Bulldogs have beaten the Blue Devils on their court since August 23, 2019.
 Vicksburg wouldn't go down easily and took Gull Lake into a fifth set  where they got it done with a two-point win. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 25-17, 25-22, 21-25,  15-13.
 Addison Naplin paced Vicksburg's offense, picking up 15 kills. Naplin got some help from  Hailey Havera and her 33 assists.  Jenna Schramer controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.
Vicksburg has  been performing  well recently as they've  won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 30-14-1 record  this season. As for Gull Lake, their defeat  ended  a  nine-match streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 17-15.
 Vicksburg has already played their next matchup,  a  3-1  victory against Portage Northern on the 21st. Gull Lake has also already played their next  contest (against Mattawan), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
