Volleyball Recap: Hillsboro Beats Varsity Opponent for Their Third Straight Win

Hillsboro waltzed into their contest on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against Varsity Opponent as they made off with a 3-0 victory.

Hillsboro was especially dominant in the third set. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-20, 25-8.

Kerrigan Blocker paced Hillsboro's offense, picking up eight kills. Blocker got some help from Jersey Robinson and her 12 assists. Robinson was also a major player on defense: she and Kelly Vaeagi shared the team lead in blocks, finishing with three each.

Hillsboro's win bumped their record up to 18-4-4.

Looking ahead, Hillsboro will take on Jefferson at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Varsity Opponent, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Indiana School for the Deaf on the 6th.
