Volleyball Recap: Cocke County Takes a Loss

Cocke County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against the Morristown-Hamblen East Hurricanes, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Fighting Cocks have suffered since September 22nd.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-16, 25-15.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Morristown-Hamblen East to victory, but perhaps none more so than Marley Epps, who had 18 digs and one assist. Another player making a difference was Mallorie Wilson, who had nine assists and five digs.

Cocke County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-24. As for Morristown-Hamblen East, they pushed their record up to 11-5 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Cocke County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Morristown-Hamblen East, they have already played their next match, a 3-2 win against Sevier County on the 6th.
