Basketball Game Preview: Episcopal Knights vs. St. Pius X Panthers

The Episcopal Knights are taking a road trip to challenge the St. Pius X Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Episcopal is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.

Episcopal picked up another tournament win on Saturday. They strolled past Shepherd with points to spare, taking the game 69-50. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 172nd, while the Pirates are ranked 505th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when St. Pius X faced off against Northland Christian on Tuesday. St. Pius X fell to Northland Christian 56-51.

Episcopal's victory bumped their record up to 12-5. As for St. Pius X, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-10.

Everything came up roses for Episcopal against St. Pius X in their previous matchup back in November of 2023, as the team secured an 84-37 win. In that contest, Episcopal amassed a halftime lead of 42-13, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
