Recap: Hicksville Aces vs. Lincolnview Lancers
The Hicksville Aces suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Saturday. They were dealt a 55-15 defeat at the hands of Lincolnview. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Hicksville has scored all season.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Hicksville struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. They are winless (0-3) when they just don't pass the ball.
Hicksville's defeat was their 13th straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 2-12. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 22.5 points per game. As for Lincolnview, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season.
Hicksville will be playing at home against Montpelier at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Montpelier presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Hicksville in Ohio (Montpelier is ranked 234th, while Hicksville is ranked 720th). As for Lincolnview, they will head out on the road to challenge Bluffton at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
