It was a good run, but University unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-match winning streak on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Spruce Creek Hawks. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Titans of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Joslean Gonzalez Garcia paced University's offense, picking up five kills. Gonzalez Garcia got some help from Emma Atkinson and her nine assists. Keira Dickens controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Logan Milan had another great game (as she tends to do), getting 15 digs and three aces for Spruce Creek. What's more, Milan posted four assists, the most she's had over her last five matchups.

University's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Spruce Creek, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-7.

University didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Geneva on the 27th. As for Spruce Creek, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Taylor on the 27th.
