Two weeks ago, Charleston lost to Cossatot River on the road by a 67-48 margin.

Meanwhile, Booneville took a blow against Elkins on Monday, falling 67-35. While losing is never fun, the Bearcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 169th, while the Elks are ranked 34th).

Charleston's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Booneville, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.

Charleston and Booneville were neck-and-neck in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, but Charleston came up empty-handed after a 45-44 loss.
