Basketball Recap: Lakeside School Takes a Loss + How To Watch

If Lakeside School was feeling good fresh off their 60-27 takedown of Southern Christian on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The game between the Chiefs and the Southern Prep Academy Rangers didn't end well, with the Chiefs falling 68-50. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rangers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 57-52 last Friday.

Southern Prep Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Wyatt Smith, who shot 80% from the field to rack up 23 points. Another player making a difference was Brayden Pace, who went 8-for-12 en route to 19 points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals.

Lakeside School's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Southern Prep Academy, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-3.

Lakeside School has already played their next matchup, a 62-32 defeat against Citizens Christian Academy on the 24th. As for Southern Prep Academy, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Cornerstone Christian at 5:00 p.m. on December 4.
