Basketball Game Preview: Broadwater Academy Vikings vs. Chincoteague Ponies

The Broadwater Academy Vikings are taking a road trip to take on the Chincoteague Ponies at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Broadwater Academy will head into Monday's game out to bounce back: they won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Monday. They were outmatched by Atlantic Shores Christian and fell 84-22.

Noah Pruitt put forth a good effort for the losing side as he posted 15 points and five rebounds.

Meanwhile, Chincoteague didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Holly Grove Christian on Monday, but they still walked away with a 52-47 victory.

Broadwater Academy better focus on containing Byron Hurst and Camaury Davis as the pair were huge in Chincoteague's win. Hurst had eight points in addition to eight assists and five steals, while Davis put up 20 points and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Corey Saulsbury, who posted six points and three steals.

Chincoteague's win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-0. As for Broadwater Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Broadwater Academy took a serious blow against Chincoteague when the teams last played back in January, falling 75-46. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Broadwater Academy was down 46-16.
