Basketball Game Preview: Round Rock Dragons vs. Clark Cougars

The Round Rock Dragons will square off against the Clark Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Round Rock will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

Round Rock is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They walked away with a 45-36 victory over Lake Travis. Given the Dragons' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 60th, while the Cavaliers are ranked 200th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Clark was able to grind out a solid win over Warren on Tuesday, taking the game 45-38. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cougars.

Round Rock pushed their record up to 29-5 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.3 points over those games. As for Clark, the win got them back to even at 15-15.

Round Rock ended up a good deal behind Clark in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, losing 46-31. Can Round Rock avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
