Football Recap: Bruni Piles Up the Points Against Victoria Cobra Homeschool

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bruni). They claimed a resounding 63-6 victory over the Victoria Cobra HomeSchool Cobra. The win was all the more spectacular given the Badgers' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 812th, while the Cobra are ranked 248th).

Bruni's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-3. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 38.0 points over those games. As for Victoria Cobra HomeSchool, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bruni will welcome Jubilee Brownsville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Badgers will need to watch out since the Titans have now posted at least 31 points in their last six contests. As for Victoria Cobra HomeSchool, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against San Juan Diego Catholic at 1:00 p.m. The Cobra will be up against the Saints' rather soft defense (which has allowed 33.67 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
