Baseball Game Preview: Caseville Eagles vs. All Saints Central Cougars

Caseville hasn't had much luck against All Saints Central recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Eagles will head out on the road to challenge the Cougars at 4:00 p.m.

Caseville is headed into Thursday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 12th straight game dating back to last season on Monday. They came up short against Deckerville, falling 26-3.

Logan Feltner made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.

Meanwhile, All Saints Central won against North Huron on Monday with 13 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Wednesday. The Cougars' pitchers stepped up to hand Whittemore-Prescott a 13-0 shutout. The Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by eight runs or more this season.

The win (which was All Saints Central's third in a row) raised their record to 6-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Caseville, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Caseville might still be hurting after the 21-1 loss they got from All Saints Central in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
